The lessons of buddha teachings tell you to have some equanimity (~stoicism) whenever you face challenges. You can either stay in your own balanced center or you can fall into the snakepit that is prepared for you with lots of snakes that wind around your center. The snakes cannot do you any harm when you stay balanced in your center. This equanimity also means that you have clear borders on the edges and on those edges there is always some negotiation with others going on. Not every negotiation has to be successful. We do not have to say yes to everything. If we say yes to everything it means that we use our adaptability the wrong way. We should transcend a problem to get a clear picture of what tries to negotiate at our edges. After we successfully transcended the problem we actively decide if we want the negotiation to be successful or if the border at the edge should stay strong and protect our energy field from e.g. parasites that drain our energy.
Once we have done the decision our mind can stay crystal clear, we avoid our mind to become a soup of useless words or word creations that we possibly even could not fully understand because of the lack of analytics of the creation.
And boy do we have to do a lot of analytics. The creativity to throw new words at our mind is a blast – to be honest most of these words are ignored because the negotiation on my borders fail. I usually do nothing with a word where I have no idea about the meaning of it. This is for a reason. Adaptability means you are like water. If you are water you can become a dirty pit or crystal clear water. What do you prefer? In case of the dirty pit you become unenjoyable. Therefore we have to do the analytics first. We avoid to become the dirty pit. It is often better to have a failed negotiation at your border than to adapt to something doing harm to you.
The current exam in our study group is all about our balance in the center. The result of this exam will show if you understood the importance of your borders at the edges. A clear no is a no – there is some strength behind the ability to say no.
May this inner strength cause clarity at the outside and help others to wash the dirty pit that is often created by the ego or unclean spirits in their influence sphere. Our fight is not against flesh and blood but against unclean spirits and principalities. We limit the influence sphere of these spirits by saying no. May this limitation help others to find their path to joy and to the end of suffering.
